The Platinum Jubilee Celebration will see over 500 horses and 1,000 performers create a 90 minute piece of spellbinding arena theatre that will include actors and artists, musicians, international military displays from the Commonwealth and Europe, our own Armed Forces , dancers and global equestrian displays. Performed live to an audience of over 5,000 each of the four nights, the event will also be broadcast to the nation on Sunday 15th May by ITV.
There are numerous exciting displays which take place at the Show including The Musical Ride of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, The Mounted Band of the Household Cavalry, The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games and The Shetland Pony Grand National. There will also be international equestrian displays to be confirmed.
The site itself includes an extensive shopping village which hosts over 200 stands and there are many different places to sit and eat. It is the only time of year the public can access the private grounds of the Castle.
During the day there are 5 different arenas in operation, housing the many varied equestrian classes. Access to the arenas is included in a general entry ticket. The main Castle arena has grandstand seating which can be reserved for the dressage competitions on Thursday and Friday and the weekend daytime performances.
